Green Gables is located at Tilba Tilba on the south coast of NSW. Tilba Tilba is 366km drive south from Sydney and is easily accessed from Canberra which is only 237km by road.

Green Gables is the ideal place to stop and break the coastal drive from Sydney to Melbourne - or to escape from the heat or cold in Canberra for a weekend break at the coast.

Once in Tilba, Green Gables is the perfect base to enjoy both the Eurobodalla and Sapphire Coasts - with the popular seaside towns of Narooma and Bermagui both only a short drive away

Green Gables is nestled right at the base of Gulaga - Mt Dromedary and offers spectacular views of Najanuga (Little Dromedary) towards the coast.

The Tilba Tilba Track to the summit of Gulaga leaves from just across the road, while Green Gables is also opposite the famous Foxglove Spires Open Garden with the Love at First Bite Café, The Spires Nursery, Tilba Forget Me Not Gifts, The Pineapple House, and Gramophones & Old Stuff.

Green Gables is also a short drive to Central Tilba village, Tilba Valley Winery, beautiful coastal beaches at Mystery Bay and Camel Rock, Umbarra Aboriginal Cultural Centre and National Parks.

Road directions

Green Gables is situated on Corkhill Drive - the road which links Tilba Tilba and Central Tilba now that the Princes Highway by-passes these heritage villages.

To drive to Green Gables involves travelling along the Princes Highway then simply taking one of the two turn-offs into Corkhill Drive - depending on whether you are driving north from Melbourne/Bega or south from Sydney/Batemans Bay.

From the southern turn-off it is only 1km to the village of Tilba Tilba - with Green Gables conveniently located right in the heart of the village (and just across the road from the famous Foxglove Spires Open Gardens).

From the northern turn-off it is 3kms along Corkhill Drive - past Central Tilba - to Tilba Tilba and Green Gables - right at the base of Gulaga.
